The inner working may have been slightly different, but they were well made.In the 1960’s we had no internet, no, no Musicians Friend.But some of my friends couldn’t afford Fender, so Silvertone amplifiers were the next choice.Looking back, there were some other fine amplifiers that were probably in the same price that came with finer construction, but a Silvertone amplifier was so accessible. By the time I was 12 there was no question about it, I had to have a guitar. Dad bought me a very used Stratocaster for 0 USD.I saved up 0 to by a Fender Deluxe Reverb amplifier.

Singer-songwriter Beck's main guitar is a Silvertone. Chris Isaak is known to play a Silvertone 1446 archtop hollow-body guitar.

This one has that high power twin tone like Keith's.
